Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum Picture 1

Arlington Court is the unexpected jewel of the North Devon countryside. Located on the edge of Exmoor, it is a complete estate originally held by the Chichester family for over five hundred years.

Step back in time and enjoy the timeless delights of the Regency house, once home to the Chichester family. Explore the ornate yet cosy rooms that purvey a homely, family atmosphere. Discover the Aladdin's cave of collections consisting of treasures for all tastes, from model ships to shells, collected over several generations.

Discover the National Trust Carriage Museum in the stables housing over forty Regency and Victorian vehicles for every occasion from cradle to grave. Currently on loan from the Houses of Parliament is the Speaker’s State Coach, a glorious, gilded carriage with over 300 years of history.

Explore the pristine Victorian garden and conservatory housing a variety of exotic plants and discover the Walled garden growing produce for use in the Old Kitchen and Garden tea-rooms.

Take a stroll around one of the many walks across the estate including the family play trail with natural play areas and see the Ruby Red Devon cattle and Jacob sheep grazing the parkland.
