Croyde village is a charming little seaside village, with a variety of restaurants, shops and pubs in the area, along with it’s very own Post Office. Many parts of the village date back to the 17th Century and a lot of the buildings built in that time are still standing around the village today.
Croyde is home to one of the best surfboard and body board beaches in the South West, Croyde Bay. The beach is privately owned and has lifeguards patrols over the Summer Period. It is also, during summer season, cleaned daily from items washed up during the evening tide.
The village offers numerous options for accommodation to make your stay in North Devon an enjoyable one, no matter what time of year you visit. Holiday cottage agencies include Marsdens Devon Cottages who are based ten minutes down the road in Braunton.
Croyde is also home to the National Trusts Baggy Point and the surrounding land, these provide delightful walking with excellent views. Cycling, horse riding, golf and tennis are all available locally. The village is also very close to great other areas like Braunton, Saunton, Barnstaple and Woolacombe, providing all you need for a great holiday. You’re close to theTarka Trail (in Braunton) to cycle around North Devon along the old Railway lines or have a walk on the North Devon Coastal path.
