Wet or dry, Launceston Steam Railway makes a great day out. Wander around the Railway Workshops and the Engineering Museum. The museum houses a fascinating collection of items associated with transport, from the days when British engineering was the envy of the world.
You can also browse in the much acclaimed Gift Shop, renowned for its large selection of quality gifts and its well stocked bookshop. The bookshop has a large section devoted to railway and other transport books. The shop also offers a mail-order service; for more information, please telephone or write to us.
Our FREE car park is on the Newport Industrial Estate on the site of the original North Cornwall Railway station. A reciprocal discount is available for visitors to the ancient and historic Launceston Castle. The Town Museum and St Mary Magdalene's Church with its connection to Charles Causley are well worth a visit.
