Our restaurant is open throughout the year. Using a daily menu board we source local fresh food and write a new menu each day. Our bars offer a full range of local beers and draught lagers. Our staff are welcoming and as an independent free house, Duncan and Leigh are always on hand to offer a warm welcome.
We strive to create a menu each week that will surprise and satisfy at the same time. Nathan joined us as head chef in January 2014 and has brought a fresh look to our old favorites and fills the specials board with dishes combining the best of local produce with interesting flavours an colour.
At lunch time we also provide a selection of baguettes, ploughman’s lunches and jacket potatoes - this menu is on the right.
In the evening we also serve traditional steaks, fish pie, and our own fantastic burger - this menu is to the right.
Leigh helps Nathan to prepare 4 or 5 desserts each day to complete your meal
On Sunday we do a roast menu served to the table, we always have 3 roast meats, a fish and vegetarian options as well as hot meat baguettes. A range of our usual starters and desserts are also up for grabs.
